What's Happening at Amy's Place Fall 2016
- As the colder weather is approaching, more youth are attending Amy's Place. We continue to be in great need BLANKETS AND MEAL MAKERS. If you and your family, friends, church, business are able to make a meal or part of a meal for the kids, please contact Nanci Zander at JNZander@comcast.net. Organizing a blanket drive would also be very much appreciated.
- Please check October's issue of the Whatcom Watch - Amy's Place and our a wonderful volunteer who works behind the scenes are highlighted in this edition of the Whatcom Watch.
- A big thank-you to Worksource staff, Marlene and Jeanie who came over Friday, September 30th evening to provide a training on all the work source opportunities available to youth between the ages of 16-24. We learned how youth can be paid to learn new skills and be transitioned into an employment opportunities through available internships.
- A big thank-you to Bob Trask who came over Friday September 23rd evening and provided a class on the Trask Triangle. He will be back Friday, October 21st at 5:00 pm to provide more information to help us learn more skills on how to find the path of least resistance to meet our goals.
