Fundraising Guitar Concert Features Eli
7/15/2009 - 7/15/2009 00:00 am

Amy’s Place for Youth invites you to a fund-raising concert on Friday, 14 August 2009. We are excited to announce that Bellingham’s own 14-year-old “Eli” will be performing a guitar show at the Bellingham Unitarian Church at 7:00 pm. Talented youth from Amy’s Place will also perform.

The church is located at 1708 "I" Street, Bellingham, WA 98225 between Ellsworth & Dupont Streets.

The youth from Amy’s Place will be providing home-baked cookies and beverages before the show. Doors open at 6:30 pm. Performance begins at 7:00 pm. Suggested donation is $10.

Eli is a 14-year-old Bellingham resident who has been playing guitar for five years. He has played a number of local venues including the Wild Buffalo. In addition to his solo performances, he also plays guitar with the Bellingham Youth Jazz Band. He plays several styles including rock, blues, and folk. When he's not playing guitar or doing his homework, he likes to ride his bike and hang out with his family and dog.

Amy’s Place opened on December 23, 2006 and has assisted 617 individual youths --- that’s nearly 1 in 100 of the Bellingham population! Amy’s is an Old Town Christian Ministries program for street and troubled youth. Please join us in keeping Amy’s Place open. For more information, contact us.
